ROURKELA: The State Government on Monday nominated former Chairman of Hindustan Aeronautical Ltd (HAL) NR Mohanty and secretary of Skill Development & Technical Education Department SK Singh as members to the Board of Governors (BoG) of the National Institute of Technology -Rourkela (NIT-R).
Earlier, the Union Ministry of the Human Resources Development (MHRD) announced the HR head of Aditya Birla Management Corporation Pvt Ltd Santrupt Mishra as the chairperson of the BoG of NIT-R.
With this, the BoG of NIT-R has become strong to its full limit with 11 members. Besides two nominees of MHRD, the BoG has three members from the NIT-R including its Director Animesh Biswas. Other members are Sobhana Narasimhan of Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advance Scientific Research, Director of IIT-Bhubaneswar RV Raja Kumar and Sobhona Sharma of Tata Institute of Fundamental Research.
