Train services remain disrupted due to reavy rains in Odisha

With heavy downpour reported from Rayagada and Kalahandi districts, train services remained disrupted for the second day on Monday.

SAMBALPUR: With heavy downpour reported from Rayagada and Kalahandi districts, train services remained disrupted for the second day on Monday. While four long distance trains were suspended, four trains were diverted, two trains short-terminated and two others being rescheduled. 

In a press release, the Sambalpur Railway Division has informed that Sambalpur-Nanded Express and Korba-Visakhapatnam Express, from both sides, were cancelled for Monday.Similarly, Tirupati-Bilaspur Express, which left Tirupati on Sunday, has been diverted through Vizianagaram-Bhubaneswar-Angul- Sambalpur while Yesvantpur-Tata Express will run through Vizianagaram-Khurda Road-Bhadrak-Tata. The Hatia-Ernakulum, which left Hatia on Monday, will run through Jharsuguda-Bilaspur-Nagpur- Balharsa and Ahmedabad-Puri Express, which departed Ahmedabad on Sunday, will run via Titlagarh-Sambalpur-Angul-Bhubaneswar-Khurda Road.

The Bhubaneswar-Junagarh Road Express was short-terminated at Rayagada. Train services between Rayagada and Junagarh will remain cancelled on both directions till further notification.
