BHUBANESWAR: A young man, who had eloped with a minor girl about two months back, died at their house in Andhra Pradesh on Thursday night. The deceased has been identified as Tendu Nayak of Science Park Basti, Saheed Nagar.
Commissionerate Police officials said, parents of the 16-year-old girl had lodged a missing complaint with Nayapalli police around two months back. The two were reportedly staying in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh from last couple of days.
According to Nayapalli police, Nayak died of heart attack on Thursday night. The girl possibly informed her parents about the incident after which they approached Nayapalli police. Nayapalli police said, cops had left for Guntur district to investigate the matter, but were later informed that the girl boarded a train to Bhubaneswar. The cops are trying to ascertain whether an autopsy of the deceased has been conducted and whether their counterparts have registered a U/D case.
