ROURKELA: The ICU of Hi-Tech Hospital was partially ransacked by the relatives of a heart patient, who died on Saturday. Normalcy was restored after the intervention of the police.
Hospital sources said a 55-year-old patient of Birajapali area was admitted to the hospital a week ago with heart complications. But against the advice of the doctors, the relatives took the patient home on Friday after giving a written undertaking.
The patient was again brought to the hospital in a critical condition at about 7.30 am on Saturday, but he died 25 minutes later in the ICU. The relatives ransacked the ICU following the death of the patient.
