Former minister Lal Bihari Himirika appointed BJD's Rayagada district president

Lal Bihari Himirika had resigned from the ministry on May 6 to pave the way for reshuffle.

BHUBANESWAR: Former minister Lal Bihari Himirika has been appointed as the president of the Rayagada district Biju Janata Dal (BJD). Himirika had resigned from the ministry on May 6 to pave the way for reshuffle.
  
Besides, BJD MP from Koraput Jhina Hikaka has been appointed as the president of the Koraput district BJD. Former MP Jayram Pangi was the president of the Koraput district BJD before his suspension from the party for anti-party activities. Pangi joined BJP on May 9. Besides, Prahallad Tripathy has been appointed president of the Nabarangpur district BJD.
  
Two prominent BJD leaders from the undivided Koraput district, Iswar Panigrahi and Sidhir Kumar Das have been appointed as state secretary of the BJD.
