CUTTACK: Mangalabag Police arrested two persons involved in a series of snatching cases in and around the city.
The arrested are Milan Lenka of Samadhipatna and Sanjay Kumar Barik of Adhanga Malikeswarpur.
Police also recovered six stolen gold chains weighing 41 grams and a stolen bike from their possession.
DCP Sanjeev Arora said complainant Manorama Behera, a staff nurse of SCB Medical College and
Hospital, had filed an FIR with Mangalabag police alleging that two unidentified bike-borne miscreants snatched her gold chain on May 13. On the basis of the complaint, the duo was arrested.
While Milan is involved in eight snatching cases, Sanjay has three cases pending against him in different police stations.
