The Commission has also directed the hospital authorities to submit the bed head report of the minor girl.

BHUBANESWAR: THE Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC) on Monday directed the superintendent of Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital (SLNMCH) in Koraput to submit a report on the treatment provided to Sarispadar gangrape victim. The Commission has also directed the hospital authorities to submit the bed head report of the minor girl. Biswapriya Kanungo, one of the petitioners, said the hospital authorities had submitted only the medico-legal report and that too was done after the prescribed time given by the Commission.

The OHRC has now asked the superintendent of the hospital to depose before it on November 10 along with a report on the treatment provided to the victim, he said. Additional DG of Human Rights Protection Cell also submitted the inquiry report to OHRC on the day. However, the ADG has requested the Commission to keep the report confidential, the petitioner said. Meanwhile, Koraput SP has apprised the Commission that police, under supervision of Additional SP, is providing security to the victim and her family. The girl had alleged that she was gang-raped by four men in uniform near Kunduli of Sarispadar on October 10. The police are yet to make any arrests.
