BHUBANESWAR: Splurging the cash they had looted from the staff of a confectionary unit a week ago proved costly for two robbers of the city. One of them, Chandan Dehury distributed new clothes in Salia Sahi since he nursed political ambitions while the other, Sikan Moharana, gifted his girlfriend a two-wheeler besides hosting a mega religious event.

The loot had taken place on October 10 under Chandaka police limits. All of the four accused are in their 20s.
The four, who stay in Salia Sahi, had intercepted two staff of Paris Bakery near Bhuasuni Temple and snatched `13 lakh at gun-point.Police received information that Chandan, who had walked out of jail recently, was distributing clothes in Salia Sahi as part of his Robinhood acts. Similarly, the news of Sikan’s extravagant ways also reached the cops.
