BHUBANESWAR: Though the single window committee of the State Government approved 349 projects since its inception, only 80 projects have been set up so far. Industries Minister Niranjan Pujari said this in a written reply to a question from Naba Kishore Das (Cong) in the Assembly on Friday.
The Minister said, investment by the projects approved by single window committee was estimated at Rs 952374.8 crore with an employment potential of 367777. The Minister said Rs 2,28,955.35 crore has been invested in 80 projects which have been set up. The industries have created employment potential of 1,42,256, he said. However, 15 projects approved by the committee have withdrawn and other proposed projects are different stages of implementation, he said.
