Naveen launches online service for MSMEs

 Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has launched the online administration of incentives for MSMEs at the Secretariat here on Friday.

BHUBANESWAR: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has launched the online administration of incentives for MSMEs at the Secretariat here on Friday.Speaking on the occasion, Naveen said the State Government is committed to provide conducive environment to MSME entrepreneurs for which the Centre has reckoned Odisha as a ‘leader’ for facilitating reforms for ease of doing business in the State.
“The online Administration of Incentives for MSMEs (AIM) is a step forward to promote 3 T’s - Technology, Transparency and Teamwork - in public service delivery. MSME entrepreneurs now onwards will be able to apply for various incentives under Industrial Policy Resolution (IPR) and MSME Policy online,” he said.


As many as 973 MSME units have been given incentives of `80.50 crore and those have generated employment of nearly 22,200 in the State since 2011-12. The Chief Minister hoped that the web application AIM will ease the administration of incentives benefiting more MSME entrepreneurs. 
The MSME Department has made provisions for different incentives under MSME and Odisha Food Processing (OFP) policies for small and medium enterprises. Now, with the launch of AIM, entrepreneurs can apply for incentives online and avail the benefits within defined timeframe. 


Earlier, the applicants were to apply to concerned regional industries centres or district industries centres for availing the benefits. Among others, MSME Minister Prafulla Samal, Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi and Additional Chief Secretary of MSME Department LN Gupta were present at the launching ceremony.
