ANGUL: Hundreds of employees, workers and villagers thronged puja pandal at JSPL plant here to worship divine architect Lord Biswakarma on Sunday. Chairman of JSPL Naveen Jindal performed ‘arati’ and puja of Lord Biswakarma.
Jindal said, “May the divine blessing of the Deva Shilpi Lord Biswakarma be bestowed upon all of us for development of the plant and Angul region.”
Members of local farmers’ club and self-help groups (SHGs) showcased their farm produces and handicrafts at a stall inside the plant premises. Jindal praised them for their support towards community actions through promotion of farmers’ club, women SHGs and micro entrepreneurship and asked the CSR team to extend help to community entrepreneurship with market linkage. He also visited thematic stalls displayed by safety, power plant, DRI and other departments during the exhibition. Villagers from the periphery areas and family members of the employees participated in the group activities.
Among others, Angul plant head and executive director (i/c) Dinesh Kumar Saraogi, Jindal Mahila Samita (JMS) president Sujata Saraogi and department heads were also present.
