BJP demands CBI probe into Bijepur  attack case

The BJP on Saturday demanded that the case of attack on Labour Minister’s brother be handed over to the CBI.

BHUBANESWAR: The BJP on Saturday demanded that the case of attack on Labour Minister’s brother be handed over to the CBI. A delegation of  the BJP, led by party vice-president Samir Mohanty, met Governor SC Jamir at Raj Bhawan and submitted a memorandum demanding an impartial probe into the incident. They also urged the Governor to direct the State Government to had over the case to the CBI. Driver of the vehicle Dileswar Sahu died on Saturday.

“Expecting an impartial probe into the incident from the State Police is pointless as it is working under the instruction of the ruling BJD. It is only CBI which can find out the truth and motive behind the attack,” BJP spokesperson Sajjan Sharma said.“We strongly suspect the involvement of tender mafia in the case as Subrat Singh, brother of Labour Minister Sushant Singh, is known for fixing tenders for Government projects,” Sharma said. The delegation further urged the governor to direct the state government to make the post-mortem report of Sahu public.
