ANGUL: AN inter-State gang involved in massive theft of diesel and other criminal activities in various coalmines of Talcher coalfield was busted by Talcher police on Thursday. Five members of the gang have been arrested and police are on the lookout for three other members of the gang.
The criminals, police said, were also ‘supari killers’ and a gangwar in Talcher coalfield was averted with their arrest. Those arrested are Musaraf Khan (19), Rudranarayan Pradhan (27), Abdul Wahid (19), Md Injeman (26) and Md Chand (19). While two of the arrested are from undivided Dhenkanal district, the three others are from Dargha Bazaar and Kadamrasul areas of Cuttack.
