BHUBANESWAR:After announcing the names of district chiefs, the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) has plans to constitute the zonal, district and booth level panels by July 15.
Announcing this, OPCC president Niranjan Patnaik said though time is less, the party will ensure formation of the committees within the deadline. He also invited people from all sections to join Congress to strengthen the party.
In a major change before the 2019 General Elections, the State unit of Congress had appointed 22 new district presidents on June 10 with approval from the national party president Rahul Gandhi.
Presidents of 11 organisational districts of the total 33 retained their posts.
Along with the district chiefs, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) had also appointed working presidents for some districts.
