PUDUCHERRY: The Puducherry court on Friday extended the remand period of Tamil cine director Seeman till March 20. He was produced at the court as his 15-day remand period had ended on Thursday. His remand at the Palayamkottai station has also been extended till March 20.

Seeman, who was escorted to the Cuddalore court by the Puducherry police, appeared before the Judicial Magistrate of Palayamkottai, Hema, through video-conferencing.

He was detained by the Palayamkottai police under the NSA for speaking in favour of the LTTE at a meeting held at Palayamkottai on February 17. But he was lodged at the Kalapet prison as the Puducherry police had also booked him for a similar offence.
