Incessant downpour caused many minor land slips in the hill town of Yercaud. There was a overcast sky on Wednesday followed by incessant showers. Power supply was suspended in the tourist town. Wall collapse incidents were reported from Salem town but no one was injured. After rains, Mettur Dam was closed on Wednesday. However, the rains did not bring much inflow.
