‘Appoint Dy Tahsildars for New Taluks in Dist’

The Vellore unit of the Revenue Officials Association has urged the State government to create an additional post of zonal deputy Tahsildhar in the newly formed taluks of Anaikattu, Ambur and Natrampalli.

VELLORE: The Vellore unit of the Revenue Officials Association has urged the State government to create an additional post of zonal deputy Tahsildhar in the newly formed taluks of Anaikattu, Ambur and Natrampalli.

A resolution to this effect was adopted at the general body meeting of the association members, which was held on Saturday.

Another resolution of the association said that the jobs of the computer operators in the revenue offices should be regularised and they must be given time-scale pay.

The temporary posts in the department should be made permanent, the members of the association noted further.

The association also sought power back-up facility in all tahsildhar offices in order to extend uninterrupted services to the public.

Besides yet another resolution wanted the appointment of additional women self- help groups, to maintain the toilets in the district Collectorate.

The meeting was presided over by its president N Dakshinamoorthy. State vice-president K Partheban and secretary A Saravakumar were present as special invitees.

District vice-president Wilson Rajasekaran and treasurer Rajasekaran also spoke on the occasion.
