Abandoned Senior Citizen Gets CM's Aid

CHENNAI: Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has come to the rescue of Kaliyappan, a 70-year-old man hailing from Rajapettai near Dharmapuri who has been abandoned by his family. 

On knowing that Kaliyappan was left in a house full of plastic wastes and that he has not been treated properly for the hip fracture suffered a few months ago, the CM directed the officials in Dharmapuri to rescue him and provide treatment in the government hospital. After treatment, he will be admitted to a government home, an official release here said.
