New Jewellery Mart To Be Opened in City

COIMBATORE: Jewellery giant Lalithaa Jewellery Mart, which has a turnover of `6,600 crore, is all set to open its new outlet in Coimbatore on Monday. The new outlet on Oppanakkara Street in the city will be its eighth showroom, according to a release from the company.

The 20,000-sq-ft, four-floor outlet, one of the largest in the city, will showcase the brand’s entire range of in-house manufactured collections and articles in various designs. There will be separate floors for silver and diamond jewellery.

“I am looking forward to a turnover of `7-8 crore per day,” M Kiran Kumar, CMD, Lalithaa Jewellery, said at a media conference, adding, “I have invested `175 crore

and have a stock of 500 kg of gold, 5,000 carats of diamond and two tonnes of silver”.
