'AIADMK Chief is Permanent CM'

CHENNAI: Hailing the huge victory of AIADMK supremo and Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa by a margin of 1.51 lakh votes, Thamizhaga Vazhvurimai Katchi leader T Velmurugan on Tuesday said the result would be a pointer to the coming Assembly elections and that Jayalalithaa would continue as permanent Chief Minister of the State.

The by-poll in Radhakrishnan Nagar was necessary because of conspiracies and Jayalalithaa had emerged victorious by a huge margin, which is a historic achievement. Expressing his greetings to the AIADMK leader, Velmurugan added that Jayalalithaa government was a model of good governance.

The RK Nagar by-poll was needed because of obstacles placed by her enemies. The Opposition parties lacked the strength to oppose her in people’s court and fled. The voters too had proved they were with Jayalalithaa, he said.

Velmurugan said the AIADMK front would emerge victorious in the coming Assembly elections and Jayalalithaa would continue as the Chief Minister. She would continue her works for the people and Tamil Nadu and Tamils would win back the rights they had lost.
