Child Sex Racket Victim Goes Missing from Home

PUDUCHERRY: One of the child victims involved in the child prostitution racket went missing from a child care home on Saturday evening. Thavalakuppam police filed an FIR on a complaint from the home’s authorities.

According to a source, police are looking for the missing girl, but there is no trace of the girl so far. Three separate police teams were constituted to trace the missing girl. The four victim were housed in separate child care homes and were been given counselling to overcome the traumatic experience. The girls educational needs were also being followed up, sources said.

The racket came to light after two minor victims approached Child Welfare Committee (CWC) and reported the abuse. The minor girls were given soft drinks laced with sedatives and made to have sex by by the accused Pushpa, Arulmarie, S Ragu alias Ragumankan, M Manickam, Santhana Jayapragash, Vimalraj and Prakash alias Ravi.
