TN Jawan Shot Dead by Terrorists in J and K

NAGERCOIL:A 22-year-old army jawan from Kanyakumari district was killed in terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.

According to official sources, Anish (22) son of Dharmaraj - Vanaja couple of Manalikarai near Thiruvattar in the district was working as a jawan in Rashtriya Rifles. He was deployed at Shopian district. On Wednesday, around 9.30 pm, while on a routine patrol, he was shot dead in a terrorist attack, added sources. The information about Anish’s death was communicated to his relatives, here, through telephone by Army officials on Wednesday night.  Anish’s body reached New Delhi on Thursday and is scheduled to be flown to Thiruvananthapuram on Friday night and will be taken to his native village on Saturday. Anish’s father is a daily-wager.
