COIMBATORE: Two engineering students drowned in a check dam near Karunya Nagar on Saturday.
The two, Joseph Charles Varghese (21) and Jean Mathew (21) from Kerala, are students of a private college. They had gone with some friends to the Nandangarai check dam, but drowned as they were taking bath. The Karunya Nagar police and fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and retrieved the bodies. They have been sent to the CMCH for post-mortem.
