PUDUCHERRY: The Orissa handloom and handicrafts exhibition, which began here brings together rural artisans from the eastern part of India.

The exhibition features vast collection of Orissa tie-and-dye, dress materials and sarees.

A variety of Odisha handicraft and handlooms, including jewellery, kundan, textiles, handmade paper, precious and semi-precious stones, paintings, leather craft, marble handicrafts, hand crafted items on wood, ivory, lac, glass, brass, silver and gold are on display at the Vel Sokkanathan Thirumana Nilayam. The exhibition will conclude on July 26.

The public can visit the handloom & handicrafts expo and promote the weavers and craftsmen by purchasing goods directly from the craftsmen at a reasonable cost.
