Diploma Admissions to Start on August 7

VELLORE: An admission drive for students who pass an instant examination while in their Plus-Two to join a diploma course in elementary education is being organised by the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) at Ranipet. The counselling for admission will take place on August 7 at 9 am onwards.

According to A Basheer Ahmed, principal of  District Institute of Education and Training , the admission would be through online counselling using the single window system. Application for the students under this category can be obtained from the DIET and other institutes offering the course from Thursday (July 23) onwards.

The last date for submission of application is July 31.  While submitting their applications, candidates are requested to attach copies of certificates of their tenth standard, Plus-Two, transfer certificates and community certificates. The candidates will not receive a call letter. The fee for application is Rs 500 for general candidates and Rs 250 for SC/ST candidates, he added.
