Case Against PMK Men for Stoning Buses

VELLORE: Pallikonda police on Monday filed a case against unidentified persons, who attended the PMK party’s North Zone Political Conference at Pallikonda on Sunday, for damaging five government buses and a SUV near the toll plaza.

According to police, a section of PMK cadre stormed out of the meeting’s venue following heavy rains at about 8 PM.  They stopped a bus plying on the NH 46 to reach the parking lot, nearly two kms away from the venue, where their vehicles were stationed. It is presumed that the bus did not stop upon which a group of cadre turned violent and pelted stones at buses and vehicles passing through. Traffic was also hit along the NH as the cadre refused to abide by the police instruction to park their vehicles at the designated places.
