PUDUCHERRY: Sri Aurobindo Ashram has condoled the demise of former President A P J Abdul Kalam and described him as a remarkable scientist who had the personality of a statesman.
In a message, the Ashram described Kalam as the true son of Mother India and recalled that he studied the works of Sri Aurobindo with great interest. “We cherish his visit to the Ashram not only when he was the President but also early this year when was in Puducherry for an academic event. He found time to come and pay homage to Sri Aurobindo and The Mother,” a senior official said.
