Apply for Passport at e-Seva Centres

COIMBATORE:As many as 72 people have applied for passport through e-Service centres so far across the district.

The Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Corporation runs 264 e-Service centres in the State with 10 in the district. The centers are functioning at Coimbatore South, Coimbatore North, Pollachi Mettupalayam, Annur, Sulur, Perur, Madukkarai, Kinathaukkadavu and Valparai.

“Interested candidates can apply for new passports or renewal at these centers. After applying, the time and date for visiting the Passport Seva Kendra will be allotted,” District Revenue Officer T Chirist Raj said on Saturday.

Passport applicants should pay Rs 1,655 including application fees Rs 1500, service charges to the Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Corporation Rs 100 and State bank (Rs 55). 

Candidates can also apply for Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission exam at these centres and get the acknowledgment receipt immediately. Moreover, income certificate, community certificate, nativity certificates, widow certificates and marriage assistance scheme etc can be obtained at the centres.
