Student, Dad Held for Anti-government Bills

TIRUVANNAMALAI:Anti-liquor crusaders A Nandhini and her father Anandan were arrested by the Tiruvannamalai Town police for distributing pamphlets carrying messages against the government. The law student and her father had campaigned for  total prohibition in the State and wanted the government to shut down all TASMAC outlets across the state. Nandhini and her father were arrested under the provisions of CrPc 151 for distributing pamphlets at the Tiruvannamalai Bus Terminus without obtaining proper permission from the police. The pamphlet carried messages that were anti-State government.
