Arivu Moved To Puzhal Jail for Med Care

VELLORE: A.G. Perarivalan (alias) Arivu (44), who was sentenced to life on the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case, has been shifted to the Puzhal Central Prison in Chennai from the Vellore Central Prsion for Men on Sunday to undergo further treatment at the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital (RGGGH). Arivu has been taken to Puzhal prison several times since June to undergo treatment at the RGGGH since the month of June. Prison department authorities say that Arivu has been moved to facilitate his treatment for hypertension and other health issues.

The police convoy, with Arivu in custody, left the Vellore Central Prison around 9 am. After undergoing treatment and completing the check-up, he will be brought back to the Vellore Central Prison.
