Another Low Pressure formation

CHENNAI:While a deep depression, that had its landfall close to Puducherry on Monday night, bringing substantial rains across the state, another low pressure formation has been reported near the southern Andaman islands on Wednesday. According to the met department if the system progressed and moved towards the state, it might bring another spell of heavy rains this weekend. The deep depression that hit Puducherry has now weakened and exists as an upper air circulation over Kerala and adjoining areas. Meanwhile, several parts of the state continued to receive rains on Wednesday. Places that recorded high rainfall in the last 24 hours are Ambur in Vellore (8 cm) and Yercaud in Salem district (6 cm).
