CHENNAI:Six-time national award-winning lyricist and writer Vairamuthu’s collection of short stories is to be featured in the ongoing 34th Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) being held in the United Arab Emirates. The book is to be introduced at the SIBF on November 13 by TP Seetharam, India’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates. Vairamuthu has also been invited as a special guest to the event, which attracts over 14 lakh visitors from all over the world annually. He is expected to deliver a speech on the topic - ‘short stories of the world’ and the need for literature in an era dominated increasingly by technology. Around 1,250 publishers from over 60 countries are expected to participate in this year’s fair.
