PUDUCHERRY: AIADMK MLA from Nettapakkam (SC) constituency L Periyasamy on Thursday charged the AINRC government with deliberately ignoring him as an MLA since he was a Dalit. Briefing reporters, Periyasamy said he was not being invited to any government function in his constituency, including the function to distribute welfare measures. Citing the free house site distribution at Pandachozhanallur in his constituency on Wednesday, he said neither he was invited nor informed about the function. This was brought to the notice of the CM Rangasamy by party secretary P Purushottaman, but he said it was of no use. “I am being deliberately ignored time and again”,he said citing the temple car festival at Madukarai. The MLA said he had lodged a complaint with the National SC/ST Commission on the incident.
