SA Chandrasekhar stable, only needs a few weeks' rest

CHENNAI: Renowned filmmaker-producer-actor SA Chandrasekhar, father of matinee Vijay, who has directed films like Rasigan, Thamizhan and the recent film Nayyapudai, has been admitted to a hospital in Kerala.

Sources say he slipped and fell down in a resort near Kottayam. “He was staying at the resort for a story discussion of a new film project for the past couple of days. Around 9 am, this incident happened and immediately, he was rushed to the nearby medical care centre,” sources told Express.

The 71-year-old has apparently been asked to be under rest for some weeks, though his condition is stable.

“Nothing is critical. By god’s grace, there’s no fracture etc. He’s able to move his body parts, though there were a few injuries on his head and spinal cord,” the sources added.

But its unclear whether he would undergo some surgery or not.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that Vijay, who has been shooting for his upcoming flick 60 (tentatively titled), will be visiting Chandrasekhar by this evening.
