Governor applauds TN people, cops for maintaining decorum on Jayalalithaa's burial 

CHENNAI: Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao has appreciated the people of Tamil Nadu for maintaining peace and calm, and the State administration, including police, for their  committed work during the funeral of the former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.

In a statement, he said Tamil Nadu people displayed to the entire nation their law-abiding culture and disciplined attitude. The Governor also placed on record his appreciation of officials and staff, and the entire government machinery, police officials and personnel for their unparalleled committed work in the hour of grief.

Vidyasagar Rao also wrote separate letters to P Rama Mohana Rao, Chief Secretary  and T K Rajendran, Director-General of Police, appreciating them and their team of officials.
