“I don’t work at a specific time. I let it come to me naturally. Whenever I find a development in my novel, I begin writing,” said Reflin, commenting about her working pattern, or rather the lack of it. About how she balanced school activities and her writing, she said, “I concentrate on studies during school time, and I write at other times.” “It took six months for me to complete writing the novel which runs into 114 pages (108 pages makes a novel) and revolves around seven characters including three boys, three girls and a dog.

Reflin said that while she was doing a web graphic designing course, an interest in making short films was triggered. “Similarly, habitual reading inspired her to write a novel,” said her parents W Edwin and Inba Rejila. “Since childhood, we inculcated the reading habit in her. Apart from textbooks, we made her read story books and comics for at least half-an-hour for a day,” said Inba.

About the latest novel, Edwin said, “After she wrote it, we took manuscript to The Notion Press Media Group, which agreed to publish it. The book will be available on November 18.”
