AIADMK’s official organ holds BJP responsible for factionalism

The AIADMK’s mouthpiece Namadhu MGR on Friday held the  BJP responsible for splitting the AIADMK into three factions.

CHENNAI: The AIADMK’s mouthpiece Namadhu MGR on Friday held the  BJP responsible for splitting the AIADMK into three factions. The official organ is under the control of ousted deputy general secretary T T V Dhinakaran.

Namadhu MGR carried a hard-hitting poem, criticising the BJP for splitting the AIADMK and freezing the Two Leaves symbol. “The BJP split the AIADMK that posed a challenge - ‘Modiyaa, Indha Ladiyaa?’ - during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections,” the poem added. This question was posed by late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa during her campaign questioning the administrative efficacy of Narendra Modi, it said.
The poem also charged that the BJP had been trying to come to power through backdoor in many states and implementing many anti-people measures.

Following the resolution adopted by Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and senior office-bearers showing Dhinakaran the door, both the AIADMK’s official mouthpieces - Jaya TV and Namadhu MGR - have completely blacked out news reports about the Chief Minister and his Cabinet colleagues.
The two organs had already been lukewarm about Palaniswami and his team  ever since they had told off Dhinakaran. In mid-July, Namadhu MGR boycotted the news about Palaniswami and others for a couple of days. Later it revoked the  boycott.
