UNION Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu has sought the support of DMK for BJP’s Presidential nominee Ram Nath Kovind.

CHENNAI: UNION Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu has sought the support of DMK for BJP’s Presidential nominee Ram Nath Kovind.
He called up DMK working president MK Stalin over phone on Monday, sources said. However, Stalin remained noncommittal on the matter, they added.

He told Naidu, who is part of a three-member panel constituted by the Prime Minister to reach out to Opposition leaders, that he has to consult his party leaders before taking a call.
It may be noted that Stalin took the initiative to unite the Opposition camp by bringing various leaders on a single platform on the occasion of DMK president M Karunanidhi’s 94th birthday on June 3 in Chennai.
