Wife of conductor who died in Tamil Nadu bus stand collapse seeks government job as promised

While the wife had received the compensation, she hadn't received the job as promised by the government, soon after mishap and petitioned to get it in Madurai where the family lives.

COIMBATORE: The wife of a government bus conductor, among five killed when the roof of a bus stand collapsed here on September 7, today urged the Collector to take steps to provide her a job as promised by the government.

Soundarya, with her one-year old child, petitioned the collector T N Hariharan, stating that the Government had announced financial compensation and a government job to her, after the death of her 36-year old husband Though she had received the solatium, she was still waiting for the government job, she said.

Since she was from Madurai, she requested that she be given a job in that city as the family was struggling to make ends meet.
