THANJAVUR: TATA Consultancy Services beat its own conversion record that it set last year at SASTRA by recruiting 730 students in the campus recruitment that concluded on September 22, 2017 with an impressive conversion rate of 74% as against 71% last year.
With more than 470 students being recruited by various companies like PayPal, Microsoft, Zoho, Freshdesk, Infoview, MuSigma, Honeywell, Rockwell Collins, etc., Tata Consultancy Services as the first IT services company visiting made SASTRA cross the crucial 1,000 placements figure for the 2018 batch. The offers also include recruitment by the CTO office and offers made on coding contests.
“There cannot be a time more appropriate than this to recall the quote that when the going gets tough, the tough get going,” said Dr V Badrinath, Director of Placements at SASTRA. He also added that all students recruited by SASTRA will also be completing the initial learning programme of TATA Consultancy Services as part of their 8th semester course making the transition from college to corporate.
