Southern Railway: Trains to be delayed due to bridge works

The Southern Railway has cancelled a few train services in the Chennai-Villupuram section for Tuesday for construction of additional spans at a bridge between Ottivakkam and Karunguzhi.

CHENNAI: The Southern Railway has cancelled a few train services in the Chennai-Villupuram section for Tuesday for construction of additional spans at a bridge between Ottivakkam and Karunguzhi. 
According to a statement, the Melmaruvathur-Villupuram MEMU passenger train scheduled to leave Melmaruvathur at 11.30 am and the Villupuram-Melmaruvathur MEMU passenger train scheduled to leave Villupuram at 1.55 pm will be cancelled. 

The Chennai Egmore-Puducherry passenger train will be partially cancelled between Villupuram and Puducherry. The train will run from Chennai Egmore to Villupuram. Similarly, the Puducherry-Tirupati passenger will be partially cancelled between Puducherry and Villupuram and the train will be operated between Villupuram and Tirupati. The Puducherry-Chennai Egmore passenger will leave Villupuram at 5.50 pm, as against the actual scheduled time of 4.20 pm.
