Table Tennis Academy to come up in TN Physical Education University

With a view to encourage table tennis players who take part in international events, a Table Tennis Academy will be created in Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University.

CHENNAI: With a view to encourage table tennis players who take part in international events, a Table Tennis Academy will be created in Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University. For this purpose, Rs 10 crore will be allocated.  

For NCC students who are being trained in rural areas, 20 bio-toilets would be purchased at a total cost of Rs 20 lakh. Rajagopuram for Sri Kailasanathar temple at Poolampatti in Salem district will be constructed at a cost of Rs 52 lakh.

New wedding halls will be set up at Vennaimalai Balasubramaniya Swami temple in Karur district, Kumaragiri Dhandayuthapani Swami temple in Salem district and Meenakshi Chokkanathar temple at Mannargudi.

A new wooden chariot will be built for Agatheeswarar temple in Tiruvannamalai district. Temple cars for Arthanareeswarar temple in Namakkal district, Sennakesava Perumal temple in Vellore district, Kirupasamuthira Perumal temple in Thiruvarur district and Mariamman temple in Kullampalayam in Erode district will be renovated.
