Tarun Vijay conferred Thirukkural award

For spreading the message of Thirukkural, the revered ancient Tamil literary work, BJP leader Tarun Vijay was conferred a unique award known as ‘Thirukkuralin Porwal’ (Sword of Thirukkural).

CHENNAI: For spreading the message of Thirukkural, the revered ancient Tamil literary work, BJP leader Tarun Vijay was conferred a unique award known as ‘Thirukkuralin Porwal’ (Sword of Thirukkural). The award was presented by Thangamani, Director-General, Institute of Thirukkural Sciences in the presence of Omanese dignitaries and members of Tamil organizations at a recent function held at the Al Maasa Hall in Muscat, said a statement from Tarun Vijay.

In his speech, Tarun Vijay had said that Thirukkural is the key to the understanding of India and he would continue his campaign to have Thiruvalluvar statue inside Parliament and urge the government to begin each Parliament session by reciting Thirukkural couplets.
