Police Medal Presented to Soumya Mishra

HYDERABAD: Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao presented Indian Police Medal to special secretary (home) Soumya Mishra during Independence Day celebrations at Golconda Fort here on Friday.

Soumya Mishra, a 1994-batch IPS officer, had been selected for the Indian Police Medal (IPM) last year by the Union home ministry.

She worked as a police officer in various positions in Vijayawada, Karimnagar, Vizianagaram, Cyberabad, Visakhapatnam and  Warangal.

She has also worked in Andhra Pradesh Special Ppolice and as inspector-general of police welfare in the united Andhra Pradesh.
