Kakatiya University Professor Awarded Best Pharmaceutical Scientist

WARANGAL: Senior professor of Kakatiya University  College of Pharmaceutical Sciences Ciddi Veeresahm has been awarded the prestigious Dr Manjusree Pal Memorial Award for the 'Best Pharmaceutical Scientist 2014'. 

The Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) at its 19th Annual National Convention held at Pune recently (November 28-30), conferred this award to Prof Veeresham  for his outstanding achievements as teacher researcher.   

APTI president Dr Mahesh D Burande along with Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) president Prof B Suresh and Belgaum University Vice-Chancellor Prof CK Kokate  felicitated  him with a citation, memento and a cash prize of Rs 10,000.   

Prof Veeresham with 24 years year of research and teaching experience  has guided  14  PhD scholars and 38  MPharm students. He also authored more than 100 research papers and several of them were published in highly reputed international journals and penned a book “Medicinal Plant Biotechnology” which is a popular text book for MPharm students.

He has successfully executed Rs 1.4 crore worth research projects. He was zonal coordinator for GPAT for 2011 & 2012. He has travelled in USA, Ethiopia, Malasia, Jordan on academic assignments. Faculty members congratulated him on his achievement here on Thursday.
