The arrested were identified as Siraboina Krishnamurthy (36) alias Madhav, State committee member of CPUSI, Shilpaka Shankar (30) and Bhukya Jayaram (27). While the former two are from Warangal district, the latter belonged to Khammam district.
Presenting them before a press conference at Mahabubabad in the district on Friday, Warangal range DIG B Malla Reddy said that the arrested in association with two others -Koti of Warngal district and Naveen Reddy of Khammam district-had purchased three tapanchas from Bihar State and formed a dalam to earn easy money about three months ago.

However, the gang members had managed to escaped from them. Meanwhile, SI P Madhu, who was on patrolling, got information about an attack on the shepherds by same gang.
Responding to this, SI rushed to the spot and nabbed two members -Krishnamurthy and Shankar- though the Krishna Murthy opened fire at the police," DIG said adding that the police had also recovered one tapancha from them.
Later, DSP Nagaraju and CI B Nandiram Naik, who had launched search operation, have nabbed Jayaram on the outskirts of Salar thanda and recovered one tapancha, three 8 mm live rounds and some explosive materials from the spot.
But two others Naveen Reddy and Koti had, however, managed escape from the scene. "During the interrogation, the dalam members confessed to have committed the many offences," said DIG Malla Reddy.
