Nalgonda Boy Bells the CAT

HYDERABAD: Anurag Reddy from Nalgonda was among only 16 from across the country to score 100 percentile in the Common Admission Test (CAT) results announced Saturday. And, he is the only one to achieve the feat from Telangana. Believe it or not, he managed it without having to run around for coaching classes!

CAT is held for admissions to 19 Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other business schools in the country. After clearing the IIT entrance test, he joined IIT-Bombay and is in his fourth year in electrical engineering.

Speaking to Express, Anurag said, “Attempting more mock tests helped me score 100 percentile.” His family is settled in Nalgonda. His father passed away when he was in his Class I. His mother Ratnamala works as a junior assistant in the education department.
