JNTU-H to conduct EAMCET-II exam once again

The JNTU-H will once again conduct the examination and complete the process of counselling into medical colleges by September 30.

HYDERABAD: It is official now. The long wait of the students and parents is over. But, the news is not so sweet for neither the student community or their parents.

The Telangana State government has decided to cancel the EAMCET-II examination and conduct a fresh examination. The JNTU-H will once again conduct the examination and complete the process of counselling into medical colleges by September 30.

In the wake of EAMCET-II question paper leak, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao held a review with education and health ministers and officials and took the decision. Senior police officials also took part in the meeting. During the review, the CM was apprised about the CID probe and the role of a Delhi-based paper leakage racket behind the EAMCET-II leakage.

"We are taking this unfortunate decision (to cancel EAMCET-II) as we have no other option," CM Chandrasekhar Rao said.

Meanwhile, it was decided to allow the candidates to EAMCET-III on the old hall tickets (EAMCET-II) and the officials were asked to see that the candidates can download the hall tickets online. The government will also provide free bus facility on the day of conduct of EAMCET-III.

Also, the candidates can access to study material and question bank along with answers on the JNTU-H website.

Notification Likely by Evening:

The JNTU-H is likely to release a notification for conduct of EAMCET-III by this evening. It is likely that the examination will be held in the first week of September.
