HYDERABAD: The state government, which is on an attacking mode at the opposition parties on issues concerning people, has decided to extend the ongoing winter session of the State Assembly till Jan 11.
Business Advisory Committee of the Assembly, which met under the chairmanship of speaker S Madhusudana Chary on Friday, decided to hold the next round of session from Jan 3 to Jan 11.

It is learnt that chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is planning to make a detailed presentation on the progress of irrigation projects, implementation of welfare schemes and other achievements attained by his government in the past two-and-a-half years during the remaining session.
Meanwhile, state legislator Koppula Eshwar told mediapersons that session will be held on Jan 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10 and 11 to discuss the pending issues.

“During the BAC meeting, Congress leaders were taken aback by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s announcement that the session is extended till Jan 11. Congress is unable to digest the fact that this government is holding the session to discuss all burning issues relating to people,” he said.
He claimed that despite the efforts made by Congress, the government had successfully conducted the House.
