HYDERABAD: Amid renewed talk of state cabinet reshuffle and ongoing exercise of filling nominated posts in the government by CM K Chandrasekhar Rao, ministers and ruling party leaders have now turned to the ‘Palabhishekam’ way of securing a slot in Cabinet. Party leaders have been seen offering Palabhishekams to life-size photos and cutouts of KCR.

By praising their boss to the skies, ministers want to retain their berth in the Cabinet.

None other than deputy CM Mahmood Ali on Monday performed ‘Palabhishekam’ to a photo of the CM at Charminar in Old City. As KCR was recently rated as the most popular CM in India as per a survey conducted by a private agency, and TS along with AP stood first in the ‘ease of doing business’ ratings across the country, the deputy CM decided to celebrate the occasion.

Similarly, TRS Greater Hyderabad unit president Mynampally Hanmanth Rao, MP Balka Suman and other leaders of the party too have been busy performing Palabhishekams for past few days.
Interestingly, against the backdrop of CM’s ongoing exercise to fill nominated posts, some of the TRS students’ wing leaders erected huge cutouts of KCR urging the Centre to confer Bharata Ratna on him for achieving statehood to Telangana in a non-violent way.

A huge banner erected at Liberty Circle in Hyderabad, reads, ‘The Centre should confer Bharata Ratna on KCR as his 14-year unrelenting fight realised the long-cherished dream of Telangana people to have their own State.’ The banner was erected by ‘B Tech Theja’, a member of the TRS Vidyarthi Vibhagam.

In fact, of late, TRS leaders and cadres have started expressing their admiration to their boss in novel forms.

A temple was built for the CM at Dandepalli in Adilabad a few months ago. Local TRS leader Gunda Ravinder built the temple. A similar temple is also being built in Karimnagar.
